IUBS is pleased to support 18 early career researchers (ECRs) to attend the 7th International Conference on Reactive Oxygen and Nitrogen Species in Plants, taking place from 9–11 September 2026 in Granada, Spain.
Thanks to an IUBS grant, selected participants—including PhD students and postdoctoral fellows—will have the opportunity to engage with an international community of scientists working on the metabolism and signaling roles of key bioactive molecules in plants.
The conference will focus on reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reactive nitrogen species (RNS), while also exploring related compounds such as hydrogen sulfide, melatonin, and a wide range of antioxidants including polyphenols, flavonoids, terpenoids, anthocyanins, carotenoids, and vitamins.
Designed to foster a friendly and informal scientific environment, the meeting emphasizes active participation through short 15-minute presentations, enabling broader engagement—particularly for younger researchers presenting their work.
Through this initiative, IUBS continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting the next generation of scientists, facilitating knowledge exchange, and advancing research in plant biology.
