Publication of “the common Insects and Spiders of Rickett’s Point Marine Sanctuary”

IUBS supported the publication of “the common Insects and Spiders of Rickett’s Point Marine Sanctuary” by Grace Hakim, John Eichler & John Buckeridge.

The “common Insects and Spiders of Rickett’s Point Marine Sanctuary” is the Fifth in the Urban Sanctuary Series. It follows books on Marine Invertebrates & Algae (2012), Birds (2016), Fossils (2017) and Terrestrial Plants (2018). The Rickett’s Point Marine Sanctuary (RPMS), established in 2002, is located along and offshore from the coastal reserve at Beaumaris on the Land and Sea Country of the Boon Wurrung (Bunurong) peoples of the Kulin Nation.

This book examines some of the more significant terrestrial invertebrates that live adjacent to the marine ecosystem at Rickett’s Point. This is essentially the zone between the marine ecosystem and Beach Road – encompassing the immediate coastal strip and open woodland.

The book is downloadable
