Main activities in 2024:
In 2024, ZDCN programme held 1 symposium, the VI International Conference on Malaria and Other Blood Parasites of Wildlife and the III International Symposium of the Wildlife Diseases Research Network (WDRN). The symposium was held in Medellin, Colombia, consisted of 6 plenary reports, 54 oral presentations, and 60 posters. More than 120 scientists from over 20 countries attended this symposium. ISZS specially invited Prof. Santiago Merino, Rodolfo Dirzo and Edward Netherlands as plenary speakers.Dr. Wenhua Xiong introduce ISZS, INZ, and the importance of “One Health” in the opening ceremony of the symposium. Integrative Zoology published a special subsection “Infection, immunity and health of animals” this year.

- Integrative Zoology published a special issue “Infection, immunity and health of animals” for the Zoonotic Disease Coordination Network.

Main activities in 2023:
In 2023, ZDCN programme held 2 symposiums, the 1st International Symposium on Wildlife Diseases Research Network (WDRN) and the 2nd International Symposium on Wildlife Diseases Research Network (WDRN). The 1st WDRN symposium was held in Haikou, Hainan province, China, consisted of 8 plenary reports, 12 thematic seminars, and 3 thematic discussions. During the meeting, participants had a lively discussion and provided valuable suggestions for the construction of a comprehensive health research and international wildlife disease research network. The 2nd WDRN symposium was held in Beijing, China. There were 29 oral presentations and 3 thematic discussions in this meeting, and more than 100 people from 14 countries attended this symposium. Integrative Zoology published a special issue “Parasitology” this year. The annual report organization is going well, will be finished in 2024.

- Workshop on Ecological Security Assessment and Countermeasures along the China-Mongolia-Russia Corridor. Date: August 2nd-9th; Place: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia; Number of participants: 24; Counties involved: 5; Number of oral presentations: 10.
