The 26th International Diatom Symposium (IDS26), which will be held in Yamagata, Japan, from 28 August-2 September 2023.

IUBS sponsors the participation of young scientists in the 26th IDC.

“As always the symposium serves as an important forum for presenting and discussing all aspects of diatom research and provides an excellent chance to showcase state-of-the-art science, describe new techniques, and inform us of recent discoveries, including new taxa.
Once again, the Young Diatomists will be running their own sessions, so we would like to encourage all students to attend these events and to participate by presenting talks and posters.
We also plan to organise a number of workshops, and to have demonstrations and booths from diatom-related companies and institutes.
Finally, we would like to cordially invite you to register for our symposium and help us to make this a truly great meeting !!
